All Southdown drivers are tested for tachograph and transport knowledge so you can be sure that they are fully competent and are able to comply with Drivers Hours and WTD Regulations. We also obtain at least two references so that we can be sure of the driver’s credentials before we place them on assignment. As an active member of the REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation), we adhere to the Code of Practice set out by them and so you can rely on the fact that we have adopted the most stringent of practices and procedures. However, the biggest difference between Southdown Driving and our competitors is our commitment to carrying out regular DVLA licence checks. All Southdown driving personnel have their licence checked direct with the DVLA every 4 months. This means that you can be sure that the person in charge of your expensive equipment and cargo does not have any serious convictions and is not banned from driving.
